RSIG Management Biographies

Tim Mazzie-President/CEO

Mr. Mazzie started his Loss Prevention and Security career with Kmart while attending Salem State College full time. Upon graduation with a BS in Criminal Justice Mr. Mazzie worked for various specialty retailers as a Loss Prevention Investigator. During the course of his 22 years in Loss Prevention, he conducted numerous investigations that involved both the detection and prosecution of individuals responsible for theft. From an interview and investigative standpoint, Mr. Mazzie has certifications in Reid Interviewing and Interrogation Techniques as well as Wicklander and Zulawski.

Mr. Mazzie was also responsible for the physical security of the stores as well as distribution centers. This involved CCTV design and installations, Inventory Control Procedures, EAS Systems, Lock and Hardware, Card Access as well as Contract Guard Services.

In 2004, Mr. Mazzie left the retail industry to start the New England Office for RSIG Security. As Vice President of RSIG Security, Mr. Mazzie continued to work with national retailers as well as residential and commercial properties assisting them with security services, which included uniformed security officers, UC investigations and CCTV products, and services. RSIG Security grew from a basement operation in Ashland MA to a national company operating in several states and employing over 1000 security officers, investigators, and executive protection personnel.

Today RSIG Security is owned and operated by Mr. Mazzie and its client base includes many fortune 500 companies in both retail and private industries. Several divisions of the company were established to provide specific services for many of today's clients. These divisions include Investigative Services, Residential and Commercial Property Protection, Concierge Division Healthcare Services, Event and Tour Services, Arena and Facility Management Services, Retail Services, Executive Protective and Film and Entertainment Services. RSIG also has an established 24/7 call and dispatch center that offers a full range of security services throughout the US and Canada.


Patrick Kelleher – Executive Vice President/COO

Patrick Kelleher joined RSIG Security in 2011 as an Operations Manager. In 2012 Patrick was promoted to Vice President of Operations for his superior ability to manage all aspects of operations. In 2016 Patrick was promoted to Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining RSIG Security, Patrick served for over 12 years in positions of increasing responsibility in the United States Air Force and as a Police Officer with a local law enforcement agency. Through his career, Patrick has served as a Security Forces Sergeant, Director of Security, Patrol Officer, SWAT Member, Anti-Terrorism Instructor, Police Academy Instructor along with many other instructor certifications. Patrick has hands-on experience with foreign security (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Italy, Egypt, Germany, Kyrgyzstan and United Kingdom), executive and dignitary protection, predictive profiling and terrorist threats.

Patrick is currently responsible for implementation of strategic plans and initiatives that support our clients' evolving needs and the continued development of comprehensive security solutions. Patrick is also responsible for overseeing operations, employee benefits, human resource operations, companywide budgeting, business development. Patrick is also responsible for creating and executing strategies that deliver an exceptional client experience, and help guide the organization's growth.


John Linehan - Vice President of Event Operations

John Linehan joined RSIG Security in March of 2008 as a member of our event staff. John's background as a former Marine Infantryman during Operation Desert Storm quickly established him as a strong worker with a take charge attitude.  John was promoted to Supervisor in the summer of 2008 and began running the floor operations for all major concerts at the 6,000 seat Agganis Arena. By the fall of 2008 John was promoted to Command Supervisor in charge of all the 2008-2009 National Champion Boston University Men's Ice Hockey home games as well as all non-concert events. During his time as Command Supervisor, John would be called upon to manage events on his own. It was this experience that prepared John for his promotion to Director of Event Operations in January 2011. In his role as Director of Event Operations John was tasked with scheduling and staffing events as well as monitoring the overall performance of RSIG staff.  John was promoted to his current position in November 2013.

In his current position, John manages all aspects of RSIG Event Security. Including, but not limited to retail, hotel, concert and sporting events, and major motion pictures filming in the greater Boston area.


Nicole Caouette - Director of Event Operations

Nicole Caouette joined RSIG in 2011 as an Event Manager, becoming the Director of Event Operations in 2012. Prior to RSIG, Nicole was an Events Intern, and later, an Assistant Event Manager at Gillette Stadium. There she had a managing role in all full stadium events including NFL Football, MLS Soccer, Concerts and New England Patriots Training Camp. She also had managing roles in Professional and Division 1 sporting events. Nicole graduated from the University of Tampa with a B.S. in Sport Management. She currently manages in the Events Division overseeing sports, entertainment, filming and the high end hospitality business at RSIG.

Nicole assisted in the creation and management of the Hospital Division for RSIG. She hires and trains staff for hospitals and health care facilities. She and her team also manage all security needs for major motion picture projects filmed in the greater Boston area. Nicole is responsible for all of the social media accounts for the Events Division of RSIG and sits on the board for the ASIS International Boston Chapter running their social media accounts as well.


Cheryl Hodgman – Operations Manager

Cheryl joined RSIG in May of 2009 as event staff. In 2012 she was promoted to Command Supervisor and responsible for numerous events and venues. Cheryl worked as Command Supervisor for all concerts and sporting events at Agganis Arena. In 2014 Cheryl was promoted to Operations Manager and her duties expanded to scheduling and overseeing staff and events. Prior to RSIG, Cheryl was in the business industry working cost accounting, bookkeeping and as an office manager. She incorporates those skills by assisting in the day to day administrative duties surrounding event operations. Cheryl also manages the Hospital Division for RSIG, providing MOAB trained staff to hospitals and health care facilities.


Daniel Guedes- Event Manager

Danny Guedes joined RSIG in October of 2009. His security knowledge and leadership skills were quickly noticed and he was promoted to supervisor in 2010. During his time with RSIG Danny also provided general security and specialized in barricade security for the House of Blues in Boston from 2012-2014. Danny worked as Response Team Security for TeamOps at Gillette Stadium from 2012-2015. He worked security operations for the opening of The Sinclair in Harvard Square in 2012 then worked as the Security Lead; now Danny assists and consults only for large scale events. In October of 2016 Danny was promoted to Event Manager for RSIG where he applies his skills to many of RSIG's large calls; focusing on overseeing and training staff on film sites, managing concerts and sporting events.


Chris Thompson – Vice President of Operations

Chris joined RSIG in 2014 as an Operations Manager, Becoming the Vice President of Operations in 2017. Chris is responsible for coordinating overall oversight of the Static Division accounts and for overseeing the Static Operations management team. He is a MOAB certified instructor and coordinates the in-house training program for Event and Static Division employees.

Chris has more than fifteen years of experience in the military and private security industries. In that time he has served in various roles including hotel security director, site security supervisor at a government building, and performing various special security for events such as foreign dignitary visits. In his 8 years in the United States Army as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician, he worked state-side missions with various government agencies performing explosives detection and security for high-level events, including the 2012 Presidential Inauguration. He also provided local emergency response for events such as the Boston Marathon bombing and the July Fourth concert and firework display. While deployed, he worked as part of a 2-person team responding to explosive threats, revamped emergency protocols for the US State Department, and performed personal security details for government officials. 

Chris received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Boston College. 


Christopher Diaferio – Assistant Operations Manager

Chris joined RSIG in June of 2015 as an Assistant Operations Manager for the Static Division.  He has over 8 year of security experience working in corporate, residential, retail, and biotech environments.  Chris also has 11 years of military experience serving in the Army Reserve as a military policeman with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.  He is trained in the use of non-lethal weapons, detention operations, and combat support operations. 


Nelson Antas- Assistant Operations Manager

Nelson Antas has over 5 years of management experience. Previously managing day to day operations of a home improvement office and his own party entertainment business. Nelson joined RSIG Security in 2014 first as a security officer and then as a concierge while attending Johnson and Wales University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship. In 2015 he served as an account manager and concierge for RSIG working hand in hand with operations and property managers to ensure that services were of the highest quality. He is also multilingual speaking Portuguese, Spanish, and French fluently.


Shannon Roddy – Business Development Manager

Shannon Roddy has over 15 years of experience building and growing diverse businesses in the areas of outsourcing, technology and advisory services.  She joined RSIG Security in 2010 and serves as the firm's Vice President of Business Development.  She has extensive experience and training in situational and organization leadership, negotiations, public speaking and team building.  Shannon is an active member within: ILSSA Boston, ARSD, IREM, RAH, Toastmasters and served as Chair for ASIS Boston Chapter in 2016.  Shannon is currently the secretary of IAHSS Boston Chapter. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Framingham University.


Dawn Portrey - Director of Human Resources

Dawn Portrey joined RSIG Security in January of 2003 and is one of the original hires from the Michigan office. She transferred to the Massachusetts office in June 2008. Dawn has played a key part in the growth of the company and works in the office handling the day to day office responsibilities. Prior to working for RSIG Security she spent 17 years in law enforcement.


Pamela Jordan- Executive Assistant

Pamela comes to RSIG Security with 10 years' experience in large corporate office setting. Nine years specializing in the management of all equipment maintenance, repair, registration, documentation and DOT requirements for 200 Tractors and Trailers for Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and New York. In addition, three years of those years Pamela managed the payroll and scheduling for 180+ employee's in all 7 states listed.

Her certifications include, Certified Kickboxing Instructor, Mass State Firearm Safety Course and Concealed Carry Permit, Utah Concealed Carry Permit, First Responder Certified: First Aid, CPR and Blood Pathogen, Six Sigma Green Belt and Computer Tech and Repair Certification.
